Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Heading Compass ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
Heading Compass is a compass-based motorcycle navigation application with ride recording capabilities. The app provides directional guidance, ride tracking, and related features for personal use.
Use at Your Own Risk
Heading Compass is provided as a navigational aid only. It is not a substitute for attentive riding and proper road awareness.
- Always obey traffic laws and ride responsibly.
- Do not interact with the app while riding. Set your destination before you start.
- Navigation data (compass bearing, GPS coordinates, speed) may be inaccurate due to sensor limitations, signal interference, or environmental conditions.
- Lean angle and sprint time measurements are estimates based on phone sensor data and should not be relied upon for precise analysis.
- Performance statistics (sprint times, lean angles, acceleration data) are provided for entertainment and personal reference only — they are not intended to encourage riding beyond your skill level or the legal speed limit.
- Speed and ride data recorded by the app should not be used to justify or contest traffic violations.
- You are responsible for securely mounting your phone on your motorcycle. The developer is not liable for damage caused by a phone detaching during use.
You assume all risk associated with using the app while operating a motorcycle or any other vehicle.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Heading Compass and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:
- Accidents, injuries, or property damage resulting from reliance on the app's navigation or sensor data.
- Loss of ride data, favorites, flags, or settings.
- Inaccurate location, speed, altitude, or lean angle readings.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
In-App Purchases
Heading Compass offers a Pro tier as a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.
We do not process payments directly. For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google through their standard support channels.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code within Heading Compass are the property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app or any part of it.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to interfere with the app's functionality or security.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
